Matt Damon’s Vacation Scare While Visiting Australia

Not just one, but two incredibly dangerous encounters that Matt Damon experienced were elaborated on by the actor while talking to Ellen DeGeneres.

“You hung out in, uh – did you go snorkeling and scuba diving and all that stuff?” – asked DeGeneres.

“We went to the beach, we took the kids… it was funny because Australia is famous for having a lot of poisonous things. And I’m telling my kids, ‘Don’t worry, you know, it’s fine.’ And Chris is like, ‘It’ll be fine, don’t worry about it,’” replied Damon mimicking Hemsworth.

What happened next sent chills to the audience. Damon’s daughter went through a life-threatening trauma.

“My daughter, my six-year-old got stung by a jellyfish worse than anything. It was the worst thing,” he chuckled. “Even Chris was like, ‘Mate, that’s the worst thing I’ve seen in my life.’”

It was definitely not a good one for his daughter as he explained he had to call the paramedics; the little girl had stings all over her arms and body!

Chris Hemsworth Had Another Scary One For The Audience

Thor (2011) star Chris Hemsworth often posts pictures and videos on his Instagram account with his family going on adventure sports. While he is accustomed to the climate and the environment, he explained how Matt Damon almost lost his life.

“So Matt Damon was here, and you and Matt Damon are pals. So, he went with his family; they are hanging out with you – you’re saying that it’s safe to go in the water,” asked DeGeneres while Hemsworth stopped her abruptly.

“Wait, so, he came there a while ago and was like – ‘What about the snakes, the sharks, and the spiders?’ And I’m like [pffft], ‘It’s fine, you are fine, there’s nothing at all,’” told Hemsworth.

He further added that while he thought it was a “random” thing about his daughter’s incident, Damon turned up in Australia again to give it another try.

“So he comes back over again, gives it a second shot. And we pull up to a cafe, he gets out of the car, takes one step, and takes a six-foot jump backward. He [Damon] said, ‘Oh my god.’ Huge big snake and he stood straight on it. And he’s like, ‘You keep telling me like they’re more scared of you, da da da. The snake and the jellyfish!’ And I’m like, ‘You know what, you’re the problem. It’s not Australia.’”
