After garnering prominence for his work on SNL, Jason Sudeikis eventually joined forces with Owen Wilson to lead his first big-budget Hollywood flick. However, after years since its release, the movie has recently surrounded itself with buzz, as the SNL star recalled a hilarious moment from his time working with the Cars star on the 2011 movie.
Considering that Wilson has cemented himself as a prominent force in the landscape of comedy before starring in MCU’s Loki, the actor didn’t fail to leave an impression on Sudeikis. During his time on Hot Ones, the former SNL star revealed how Wilson made the actor insecure about his body with a hilarious compliment in Hall Pass.
Jason Sudeikis recalls the time when Owen Wilson mocked the actor in a hilarious fashion
Although working on his first big-budget flick was a fun experience for the actor, he did find himself in some embarrassing situations, as he wasn’t much familiar with what it’s like working on these big flicks. During his time on the Youtube Show Hot Ones, Jason Sudeikis recalled that embarrassing moment and expressed how hilarious it was, as he recalls Owen Wilson‘s Backhanded compliment on the sets of Hall Pass.
Considering that actors are mostly instructed to not eat the food that is used for filming, Sudeikis recalled a hilarious situation, when he started eating the chicken wings while he was not on camera. Owen Wilson, who was filming his sequence while Sudeikis was eating the chicken wings, later joked about the situation through his sarcastic comments, as Sudeikis burst into laughter. The actor recalled,
“At some point, I’m eating them, and he’s just like, ‘Gosh, so you’ll just put anything in your body, huh?’ I’m like, ‘Oh, yeah. He goes, ‘I’d be so curious what you look like if you actually worked out and took care of yourself.’”
Despite feeling a bit embarrassed, the actor was mostly in laughter about the entire situation, as the film did decent numbers at the box office.
Jason Sudeikis didn’t have to wait long for success on the big screen
Even though he might not be the most experienced star during his time on the 2011’s Hall Pass, the Ted Lasso star was able to do a great job in the film alongside other industry veterans. Although many felt that the movie didn’t get the recognition it deserved and deemed it underrated, Jason Sudeikis didn’t have to wait long to find his footing in the industry. Following the moderate success of Hall Pass, the actor went on to star in Horrible Bosses in the same year, and in 2013, he starred in the extremely successful We’re the Millers.
Since his time on 2011’s Hall Pass, Jason Sudeikis has come a long way, as he is now at the forefront of one of Apple TV’s greatest hits, Ted Lasso.
