Popular Youtuber and WWE star, Logan Paul has been dating model Nina Agdal since 2022. The duo got engaged in July 2023 after Paul got down on one knee at Lake Como, Italy. The adorable couple announced their engagement in a combined post on Instagram. They also shared numerous pictures of their special moment. However, it would be interesting to know that Leonardo DiCaprio’s ex-girlfriend initially did not have a high opinion about the YouTuber.
As per reports, Nina Agdal did not have a great interaction with Logan Paul in the past. The model had also caused lots of trouble for the Youtuber.
Leonardo DiCaprio’s ex-girlfriend canceled contract with Logan Paul due to cheap pay
In conversation with Logan Paul on his podcast named IMPAULSIVE, Agdal opened up about the time when Paul offered her work. The YouTuber had known Agdal from the time he was a 19-year-old and had seen the model in a Super Bowl commercial. Paul had a crush on her for years and finally contacted her a few years later.
Paul went through plentiful paperwork to get Agdal on board for his project called 99 Originals. However, the Danish model bailed on him. Paul recalled,
“We got through rounds of contracts and the day before we were supposed to shoot for 99 Originals she fu**ing canceled on me. I was pissed.”
When Mike Majlak asked Adgal about the reason for canceling the contract at the last moment, she brought up the pay offered to her. She shared,
“Well you [Paul] were first of all way too cheap. Like your day rate was s**t. Like absolute nonsense.”
Agdal also explained that she did not want to get a percentage of the sales, instead, she wanted the money up-front.
Nina Agdal felt unsafe working with Logan Paul due to his past
The gorgeous model also revealed in the interview that she was not comfortable working with Logan Paul because of his controversial part. Agdal explained,
“Obviously, you have a couple of things in your past that I did not know you personally, and it definitely, you know, I was, I wasn’t sure I wanted to be associated with that.”
Paul had to face multiple controversies when he was a YouTube star. He had once posted footage of the body of a suicide victim on YouTube in 2017, when he visited the Aokigahara forest, or the ‘suicide forest’ in Japan. Paul received massive backlash for his video and had to publicly apologize for his actions. He was also involved in the CryptoZoo scam, in which he was unable to compensate around $1 million to his investors.
Nina Agdal shared that over the years, she has moved on from those controversies as she got to know Paul on a personal level. She also slammed the media and netizens for picking on Paul.
The couple is presently engaged, and in an Instagram story, Agdal posted,
“I get to marry the boy of my dreams, my best friend, my rock, my soulmate. I love you soooooo much!!”
The model earlier dated actor Leonardo DiCaprio for a year but broke up in 2017. She also dated supermodel Christie Brinkley’s son, Jack Brinkley-Cook, for four years, but they went their separate ways in 2021.
