Before the younger generation was attracted to his persona of Scott Lang, a.k.a Ant-Man in the MCU, Hollywood star Paul Rudd was famous for his performance in old classics, may it be in movies or television series. Thus, there is no wonder that his work in the first Ant-Man film was praised by critics and audiences alike, adding to his character, which was such an integral part of the narrative that he was the key factor in defeating Thanos in the epic showdown in Endgame.
And being a part of one of the most awesome casts in cinema in modern history, people are bound to make connections of friendship, and the Romeo+Juliet star is no exception. Having a strong friendship on and off the screen with his co-stars is something that all of them cherish, but sometimes these friends act in a way like they have never before, like that time when Winter Solider actor and his good friend Sebastian Stan ignored him to take his phone call even after seeing him in public.
Sebastian Stan Completely Ignored Paul Rudd To Talk To His Therapist
Being ignored by people is a situation that many of us have faced in the past at some point, but when you are Paul Rudd, it becomes especially hard for anyone to do so. So when his co-star Sebastian Stan revealed to him that he had ignored him in public that one time, the FRIENDS star was genuinely shocked for a moment.

During an old interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where the cast members of the then-upcoming MCU film Captain America: Civil War were present, consisting of Rudd, Stan, Anthony Mackie, and Chris Evans were playing personal trivia with each other. During this, the Winter Soldier recalled an instance where he was in public talking to his therapist when he happened to see Rudd and his family walking. He decided to just leave them be and continued to talk on his phone, ignoring his co-star completely.
During the interview, Stan said:
“We almost connected in New York together. I saw him on the street with his kids, but I was on the phone with my therapist, so I didn’t really stop to say Hi”
Even the host was confused asking him, “You walk around talking to your therapist?” and the whole group started laughing. While Rudd may have been surprised initially, he respected Stan’s decision to not hinder his family time, especially when Stan e-mailed him about the whole incident, which he laughed about.
Will We See Sebastian Stan And Paul Rudd Together Again?
After the events of Captain America: Civil War, we haven’t seen much of both of them working together as a team, and it doesn’t look like we will be seeing them together anytime soon. While Rudd may be trapped inside the deepest parts of the Quantum Realm while trying to save the world from the threat of Kang The Conquerer, Stan is busy gearing up for his appearance as one of the team members of Thaddeus Ross’ team in the upcoming Thunderbolts.
