Microsoft has revealed that six games will be removed from Xbox Game Pass come the end of August. Within the list of departing games is the highly-rated interactive film video game Immortality. However, it’s not all bad news as you still have until August 31 to play the list of soon-to-be-removed titles before they vanish from the subscription service forever.
Although it is annoying to lose access to games that may be sitting in your to-be-played pile, Microsoft has also announced a list of new arrivals to Game Pass. This includes Everspace 2, which is already available as well as two games that are coming this week and another that’s being added at the end of the month.

Firewatch is coming to Xbox Game Pass on August 17 and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is being added on August 18. Sea of Stars will be added on August 29, capping off the new titles available on Xbox Game Pass for August 2023.
What Games Are Leaving/ Coming to Xbox Game Pass?
So, including Immortality, the list of titles leaving Xbox Game Pass at the end of August are:
- Black Desert
- Commandos 3 – HD Remaster
- Nuclear Throne
- Surgeon Simulator 2
- Tinykin
While some players may want to jump right into the new titles that will be coming to Game Pass shortly, Immortality is one of the highest-rated games on the service and worth your time to play. Although it is a highly experimental game with a mind-bending narrative, innovative gameplay mechanics, and shocking scenes Immortality is the perfect game to try on Xbox Game Pass.
The other games on the list such as Nuclear Throne and Tinykin have high reviews from critics and also are worth a shot before the end of August. Nuclear Throne is a roguelike shooter game, whereas Tinykin is like a 3D platformer, so if either of those seem up your alley you should give them a bash.
On top of the six games listed above Game Pass is also losing four games after August 15, including Death Stranding, Edge of Eternity, Midnight Fight Express, and Total War: Warhammer 3.
