It’s been three years since the third installment in the Bad Boys franchise, Bad Boys for Life was released, and up until a while ago, meager updates were provided concerning the fourth film. But after uncertain timelines and stunted development, Bad Boys 4 finally picked up the pace with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence officially confirming their return to the movie.
While little to no information has been divulged on the film’s storyline and cast, rumor has it that Eric Dane, who has played antagonistic roles in several projects, is in the works to star as the villain in Bad Boys 4.
Eric Dane Rumored to Portray A Villain in Bad Boys 4
Popular for playing Dr. Mark Sloan in ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, Eric Dane is reportedly set to make it to the fourth installment of Bad Boys as a major villainous character. Dane, 50, even has some experience in that department.
In Brett Ratner’s X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), Dane portrayed a supporting antagonist called Jamie Madrox, aka, Multiple Man. He recently took over as the secondary antagonist in Sam Levinson’s HBO drama, Euphoria, wherein he stepped into the shoes of Nate Jacobs’ (Jacob Elordi) strict and brutal father, Cal Jacobs. Dane also played the bad guy in Abigail Cowen-led 2022 drama titled Redeeming Love. So, it’s safe to say that he’d easily fit in as the villain in the Will Smith-led film.
However, Dane’s part in the movie hasn’t been confirmed yet so the rumor should be taken with a pinch of salt.
