Gears 6 To Feature An Open World?
Gears of War franchise is an Xbox exclusive franchise. Their last game was Gears 5, which was released in 2019. During an XboxEra Podcast, he mentioned the possibility of Gears 6 having an open world. Gears 5 was somewhat of a semi-open world. So that leaves space for an open world in the next installment. They can continue their campaign, play side missions, or just explore the world.
With the thought of Gears 6 in mind, it could be made by Unreal Engine 5. Microsoft is slowly shifting its focus to an open world. Halo Infinite, released in 2021, showcased a semi-open world. Instead of a drastic transition, they are trying to introduce open-world gaming slowly. It will be a sight to behold if Gears becomes an open-world game, since it is filed with intense action sequences.
Gears 6 To Follow Starfield?
The first Gears of War game was released in 2007. It was developed by Epic Games and published by Xbox Game Studios. Since then, it has become a fan-favorite video game franchise. Gears has won several awards and remains one of the best-selling Xbox exclusive games. But people change with time. The focus shifted from linear world games to open world games. PlayStation is done with the transition, but Microsoft is still progressing.
With Gear 6, they could officially finish their transition to the open-world game. Their upcoming release, Starfield, will be an open-world game.
