The actor continued about how he tried to connect with Chris Rock after the event but the latter actor isn’t interested to communicate around now.

During the Oscars hosted by Chris Rock, the comedic actor made a joke about Jada Smith, the wife of Will Smith. Referencing her hairstyle, the host told, “Excited to see you in G.I. Jane”. The reference was made because the hairstyle of G.I. Jane was the same as that of Jada Smith. At that point, the Independence Day actor ran on stage and slapped Chris Rock in front of the live audience.
Playing it off naturally, Chris Rock later continued the night as if nothing happened but it was clear that not everything was alright. The video seems to be hitting Will Smith hard since, after the Oscar controversy, the people have been pouring hate on him and his family without remorse.
