The superhero genre of films needs no explanation, as it has slowly incorporated itself into the bedrock of pop culture in today’s day and age. And While Marvel Studios may be the leading force behind this, DC is no slouch as through their recent release of The Flash, they have attempted to penetrate the industry and make a name for itself.
But alas, despite their best efforts, the film couldn’t bring the impact it had intended. On the contrary, the film was bashed mercilessly for so many flaws that it had even in the final cut. But with the release of the DVD version happening in the future, some news has been making the rounds that have the fans of the DCEU both in shock and enraged, who’re now seeking answers.
Fans Question The Reason To Exclude A Major Batman Plot Point From The Flash
It’s no secret that for the past couple of years, the DCEU had started to become an embarrassment in the superhero genre after the departure of Zack Snyder. Therefore, new CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran were brought in to save the franchise from further ruin, which resulted in a complete overhaul and dismantling of the old cinematic universe. But there were a few remnants that had the potential to give a proper send-off to the old regime, which was done through the release of The Flash.

But when the audience came to know this particular detail was removed from the narration of the film, people wondered if this was just another film that needed to be released just for the sake of it rather than meaning anything significant. With the release of The Flash on DVD coming soon, there is a featurette where director Andy Muschietti talks about a major plot point related to Michael Keaton‘s Batman that the film removed from the final cut.
With such an impactful and important piece of narration being sawed off from the final product, many fans now seek answers for this terrible choice while also coming up with plausible reasons.
Whatever might be the case, it was still sad and disappointing to hear something so crucial was removed from the film.

Why Did The Flash Fail?
While the hype around the film was one of the most intense, the release of the film brought us nothing but disappointment. One of the major points of failure comes from the sub-par work of GCI that was employed in the film which made it look worse in every way. Along with that, the additions and cameos didn’t really make much of an impact on the audience and the disconnected narration are some of the reasons why it failed at the box office.
