Jared Leto has given the internet the greatest gift ever: Morbius and its morbillion memes. While people are enjoying the jokes, the same can’t be said for the actor who they don’t want to see in another film ever again. In fact, there’s a huge ruckus over Tron: Ares going on right now due to this.
Leto has been cast in the newest Tron film with Evan Peters. Reportedly, he will play the most important character in the film. But people aren’t pleased. They want him out of the film. Also, now that Greta Lee has joined the cast, those voices have only become louder.
Greta Lee Joins Jared Leto In The Newest Installment Of Tron Film
The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Greta Lee, whose star has been rising thanks to her role in Past Lives and Across the Spider-Verse has joined the cast of Tron: Ares. The outlet reports that Lee has bagged a leading role in the film that will explore a sentient program that comes to the human world. Regarding Jared Leto’s role, the site says:
“Leto is Ares, the manifestation of the program, with Lee starring as a video game programmer and tech company CEO who has to go on the run in order to protect her world-changing technology.”
While the plot sounds intriguing, that isn’t enough for fans to accept Leto in the role. This is apparently because he has a history of being allegedly scummy to his castmates. In the DC fandom, there’s a persistent rumor that he sent his Suicide Squad castmate Margot Robbie an actual dead rat and a used c*ndom.
He apparently did this as part of his method acting to prepare for the role of Joker. Apart from this, it’s also alleged that he started a cult where he apparently groomed girls and women. As such, people want him out of the upcoming Tron film.

Fans Of Tron Desperately Want Jared Leto Out Of Their Favorite Franchise
Tron isn’t a highly successful franchise. The first 1982 film took home only $26 million on a $17 million budget. However, the themes and visuals of the films resonated with viewers and that resulted in the franchise developing a cult following.
However, even though many are interested in seeing what Tron: Ares brings, they absolutely don’t want to see the much-maligned Jared Leto in one of the leading roles. So, here’s what the fans are saying:
As of now, there have been no official updates regarding any talks about removing Jared Leto from the film. It also doesn’t look like the makers are going to take such a drastic step this soon. However, stranger things have happened. As such, it remains to be seen how the situation progresses.
