From Software’s Armored Core 6 was released on August 25, 2023, and the game has seen a boom in its player base like never before. Armored Core 6 has launched after an 11-year wait in the third-person shooter franchise and is already the fifth biggest launch of 2023 with over 150k Steam players on day 1.
As players wait for Bethesda’s Starfield to release, this game could let Xbox Game Pass subscribers kill time with thrilling mecha combat with amazing visuals and immersive mechanized gameplay. However, the question lingers; if the game be available on Xbox Game Pass? Or does publisher Bandai Namco have other plans?
Will Armored Core 6 come on Xbox Game Pass?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. Armored Core 6 will not be coming to Xbox Game Pass. Players and fans will need to purchase the game separately for $59.99 from the Xbox or Microsoft Store if they want to play the game. From Software likes to keep their games multiplatform and if we take a look at their record they do not like to bring their AAA titles to subscription services.
Also, From Software has had a good relationship with PlayStation as their only exclusive releases, Demon’s Souls and Bloodborne are on PlayStation. Their first-ever Armored Core title was exclusive to PlayStation. And there have been no announcements regarding Armored Core 6 coming to Xbox Game Pass from Xbox or Bandai Namco.
It is also important to note that their best game, Elden Ring has not yet arrived on Game Pass and no Armored Core title has ever been on Xbox Game Pass hence, the chances are almost zero. However, it remains to be seen if the mecha game will be added to the subscription or not.
Is Armored Core 6 Worth the Hype?
Armored Core 6 is one of the best titles from the renowned developer From Software and considering its gameplay of over 60 hours and challenging mecha battles, the classic franchise title is surely worth the hype. The game has extremely detailed mech customization abilities and exciting content for players to enjoy.
Gamers should keep this in mind if they decide to get the game that it is not like any Soulslike title but a mecha-based vehicular combat game. If players do not want to get their wallets loose on AC6, they can go for other Armored Core-like titles on Xbox Game Pass or await the arrival of Bethesda’s highly-anticipated Starfield.
