Arnold Schwarzenegger has so many things associated with his name but the title of action god is something many are quite familiar with. From making his name in the weightlifting industry to gaining global fame with The Terminator franchise, he has established a high-profile persona in Hollywood. But, it looks like he’s not keeping up with his kids’ career choices, at least not entirely.
From an interview with his son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, it is clear that he was unaware of what the latter was up to which left him baffled.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Reaction to His Son’s Choice of Project
After the gigantic success of The Boys, a new spinoff series was announced which is titled, Gen V featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s son, Patrick as Golden Boy. Back in 2022, the young star appeared in an episode of the Just for Variety podcast where he revealed the shocking reaction he got from his father when the former got aware of it.
He revealed that he showed him the photos from the set of his new series, however, he was astonished since the action star was completely foreign to the mega-famous series.
‘He looked at me and he was like, “What the f*ck are you filming?”
The 29-year-old actor then had to explain to him what the project was about.
“I was like, “It’s this show called The Boys. You have to watch an episode to understand it, or else I can’t articulate what happens in it.’
He also urged his father to watch the series to understand what exactly it is all about. While many details were undisclosed at the time including his segment in the new project, it is now ready to be shown to the world.
The Boys Spinoff, Gen V is Ready to Reach The Fans
The Boys is a gritty, unhinged, and terrific superhero show which quickly became fans’ favorite. The program is filled with enormous violence and explicit content, which further amplified its overall popularity. When the fans demanded more content, its spin-off, Gen V came into existence.
It revolves around young aspiring superheroes who put “their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test.”
Gen V will be streaming on Prime Video on September 29, 2023.
