Alicia Silverstone decided to become a vegan at the age of 21
Shortly after playing Batgirl/Barbara Wilson in 1997’s Batman and Robin, actress Alicia Silverstone decided to turn vegan because of a strange thought. In a 2020 interview with The New York Times, the actress explained that she was sitting with her dog when she realized,
“I realized that when I was petting his leg, that leg felt the same as the sort of chicken breasts I might be eating, or whatever animal I was eating and I started to wonder what my leg might taste like if somebody ate it.”
The actress has showcased her talent in various blockbuster hits and on multiple occasions, Silverstone has used her platform to promote veganism. Just like Gadot, she was also a star in a superhero movie, so it was important for the actress to spread a positive message and encourage her fans to be like her.
