"We were able to find almost all new talent": The Witcher Boss Untroubled by Henry Cavill Season 4 Exit

Henry Cavill is one of the most loved actors in the world right now. The English actor first rose to fame back in 2007 for his portrayal of Charles Brandon in the series, The Tudors. Cavill gained further prominence and media attention for his portrayal of Superman in DCEU’s Man of Steel back in 2013. However, it was his role as Superman allegedly that cost him another project that was very special to both the actor and his fans.

The Witcher casting director on young talents coming to the show

In a recent interview with Deadline, Sophie Holland, the casting director of The Witcher, talked about getting new talents on the show. Holland revealed that in one of the episodes of season 4, she got to work with a whole group of young talents. She said,

“I had a really lovely opportunity recently with a very special — almost standalone — episode of season four of The Witcher, which is exploring a completely new group of people. We were able to find almost all new talent.”

Holland further revealed that she even got a young talented actor named Connor Crawford a role in The Witcher as well. Crawford is also going to play a vital role in John Wick’s upcoming spin-off series, The Continental. Holland further revealed the details about the young talents and said,

We were able to put him[Connor Crowford] in this group of kids in The Witcher. He is very special. The whole group is very exciting in terms of talent: Christelle Elwin, Juliette Alexandra, and Ben Radcliffe. You meet the characters in season three and then they come into their own in season four.

Liam Hemsworth all set to replace Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia

Last year in October, Henry Cavill took to Instagram and announced that he would be leaving The Witcher and Liam Hemsworth would replace him to play the role of Geralt of Rivia in the series. It seems like Cavill’s departure did not have much effect on the producers and directors of the show, as they seem absolutely unbothered by it.

When Sophie Holland was asked about season 4 of the series, she went on and talked about how Liam Hemsworth is all set to take on the role of Geralt of Rivia. She said,

“We’re just about to start filming on season four with Liam Hemsworth and there will be a short gap then we go straight into season five.”
