During an interview, Sasha Calle talked about her experience playing the role of Supergirl in the movie The Flash. Her character is one of the significant characters in the recently released movie. To ensure that her stunts were properly executed throughout production, the 27-year-old actress underwent significant training. The Final Stop actress talked about her fight scenes with Zod in the movie.
Calle claimed that if certain scenes had been included in the movie, her character would have come out in the movie differently. The actress explained that there were some fight scenes between Supergirl and Zod which were cut by the makers because they were R Rated. This statement by the On Swift Horses actress has been generating a lot of buzz on the internet. Some netizens wrote that they would want an extended cut. Some fans believe that the R-rated scene from the movie that was removed may have involved Zod killing baby Kal.
Sasha Calle says her Supergirl suit is a mix of feminity and masculinity
The 27-year-old actress stated during an interview that she is very proud that she is the first Latin American to play the role of Supergirl. The Rogue Tiger actress stated,
“It’s an honor, an absolute joy. I’m still pinching myself every day. My biggest hope is that my community knows that we belong on the big screen. Our stories are not limited; they are unlimited. We are powerful superheroes also on big screens globally.”
Calle recalled that Gal Gadot’s portrayal of Wonder Woman served as her inspiration. The actress described her Supergirl dress as a lovely fusion of femininity and masculinity while discussing it. She continued by saying she adored how it looked on the big screen. The actress said,
“It’s kind of androgynous, and it’s mobile. It works as if you were to wear a suit that would protect you and allow you to move. I love it. It was really cool to see how it looks on camera as well.”
Calle also spoke about her desire to work with Timothée Chalamet. The Deep Cuts actress stated that she has been treated with great kindness and that her fans have shown her a lot of support.
