Certain roles require celebrities to make changes in their body. In most cases, the change is required because the creators want the best representation of the character on-screen. However, in some cases, the creators want celebrities to look perfect, basically, meet the “unrealistic beauty standards” that have been around for a while.
Many celebrities decide to do what they are told, but some refuse to make any changes. Before the filming of The Beguiled (2017), actress Kirsten Dunst was asked to lose some weight for the movie. However, Dunst refused mainly because she was concerned about her health.

Actress Kirsten Dunst‘s performance as Edwina Dabney in The Beguiled (2017) was remarkable. What many people don’t know is that the actress was asked by director Sofia Coppola to lose weight for her role in the movie. The actress told Variety in 2017,
“It’s so much harder when you’re 35 and hate working out. I’m eating fried chicken and McDonald’s before work. So I’m like, ‘We have no options! I’m sorry I can’t lose weight for this role.'”
The actress was 35 at the time. Dunst and Sofia Coppola are great friends outside the industry. Since Coppola was understanding, Dunst didn’t have to lose weight for the movie.
Sofia Coppola once told Kirsten Dunst that she loves her teeth
In an industry where everyone is chasing perfection, Sofia Coppola once complimented Kirsten Dunst’s teeth. She recalled,
“She was always a good influence on me as a young woman. She said to me, ‘I love your teeth; don’t ever fix your teeth.’ I remember doing a Spider-Man movie later, and one of the producers was like, I need to take you to the dentist!’ They even fixed my teeth on the poster. But I just knew I was never doing that. Sofia is the chicest, coolest girl, and she thinks my teeth are great.”
The actress further explained that Coppola motivated her a lot and helped her in gaining the lot of confidence that she required as an actress.
Kirsten Dunst started acting at an early age
Actress Kirsten Dunst saw Hollywood life at an early age. At the age of 6, Dunst made her feature film debut. She got a minor role in the anthology film New York Stories (1989), where she played Mia Farrow’s daughter. The actress worked hard in the 1990s and gained recognition after she played the role of Claudia in Interview with the Vampire (1994).
