Samuel L Jackson addresses the hate against Superhero projects

Samuel L Jackson has worked on e plethora of critically acclaimed projects throughout his five-decade-long career, and his accomplishments are second to none. But unlike most of the peers of his time, who aren’t quite into these Superhero films, Jackson has repeatedly expressed his love for this genre and Marvel films. While reflecting on the hate against these films, especially in the last few years, he defended the Superhero landscape while admitting he is really proud of his work and claiming there are a bunch of people who enjoy this genre. He said,

“We hope so. And as we watch how all these things play out and what the world of superheroes is when people continue to say, ‘Well, we hate these superhero movies. I’m sick of this… Make some movies that make sense.’ Well, some people like superhero movies. A whole bunch of people, you know? I’m one of them. I’m really proud that I’ve been part of it.”

This isn’t the only time the Oscar-winner has spoken out against the criticisms against the MCU and it appears that it will be a long while before Samuel L Jackson departs from this genre.

Samuel L Jackson doesn’t want Nick Fury to die

Considering Samuel L Jackson is one of the last remaining stars from the original Avengers, fans were worried whether the actor will drop the role in the upcoming projects or not. But seems it will be a long while before that happens, as Jackson explained he has been pushing Marvel to not kill him, further showcasing his love for the Superhero genre. He explained,

“My biggest concern with Marvel was trying to keep them from killing me more than anything else. [Laughs] I kind of liked the gig! I always wanted to tell the story about who Nick was before he had these superhero friends — when he lived in the shadow world as a spy, and how he connected with these people. Secret Invasion is not a superhero movie. It’s gritty and dark.”
