Invincible Season 2 witnesses a major change

Invincible Season 1 ended with a cliffhanger, making its viewers wonder about the fate of the protagonist. However, what has hooked the audience with its plotline is its powerful characters, as its writer, Robert Kirkman, has been very wise by making its antagonist as powerful as the protagonist, which makes the story intense and makes its viewers stick to their seats.

In Kirkman’s comics, the villains are given equal value, and their portrayal has been top-notch and well-appreciated by the audience. However, recently, it was revealed that there will be a major change in the series as the creator of Invincible has decided to introduce a new character. During an interview with Inverse, Kirkman shared that the series will witness a twist now as it explores the concept of the multiverse.

The second installment of Invincible will introduce a new villain called Angstrom Levy. Sticking to the concept of a powerful villain, the new antagonist possesses formidable powers. Referring to the new villain, the writer said,

“He’ll be a new villain that comes into the series. And if you’ve read the comics, you’re aware of who he is and what his deal is. He’s a villain that has access to multiple dimensions, and so it’s another one of those dang multiverse things.”

The character of Angstrom Levy is a powerful one, which can be a threat to the protagonist, Mark Grayson, a.k.a. Invincible. The new antagonist isn’t just powerful but also very intelligent, as he is a scientist who can travel between various dimensions, which allows him to explore the multiverse. His mission is to use the multiverse to his advantage.

It would be exciting to witness another intriguing plotline; however, not every Invincible fan is convinced by the new change.
