Tyrese Gibson is now officially single (split with his former Samantha Lee after four years of marriage) and heavily investing in his child’s future. A few months back, Gibson was fighting in court, where he was ordered to pay over $636k for child support and legal fees.
In his recent song, Gibson aimed at his former wife in which he openly addressed the child support issue and tagged his wife cold-hearted for dragging him to court. He poses a question to Lee in the song – Was this a love or a transaction?

Why Was Tyrese Gibson Asked to Pay $636k as Legal Fees?
After their harsh child support case, the Fast and Furious actor has barbed his former wife, Samantha Lee. After their split, he was charged with contempt of court, and the court ordered the actor to pay his ex-wife (and her legal attorneys, which are included in the sum) a whopping 636,000 dollars.
The court made the decision after he refused to pay $10k per month for child support (and after he appeared to be unhappy about having to pay out a ton in terms of child support). Gibson wasn’t happy with the outcome for which the judge told him directly, saying:
“This is not a punishment for you. Put that money where it belongs, in the child!”
The actor is already paying a huge sum of money in child support to his teenage daughter Shayla from his former marriage with Norman Mitchell.
Tyrese Gibson Boldly Stood Up Against the Hearing in the Court
Tyrese Gibson boldly declared he could pay more than half a million bucks for child support and his ex-wife’s legal attorneys. But he believes that the judge did him dirty, and that was the reason he kept fighting it in court.
As it is already reported, Gibson refused to pay the $10K/month for the child support for which he was held in court. After the hearing, the actor criticized the judge on social media, and the judge shut down the matter by ordering the singer to pay his ex-wife $238k and $399k in attorney fees.
Gibson has also revealed that Lee asked for a lot more than she needed to take care of their 4-year-old daughter, Soraya. So, he concluded by saying that he’s not worried about the money rather he’s standing up for what’s right.
