In a YouTube video wherein insider Jeff Sneider and host John Rocha discussed several possibilities, rumors, and confirmed news, Matt Shakman’s directorial rumor was put to the test. In the video that entailed a lengthy discussion, here’s what Jeff Sneider thinks about the whole Silver Surfer ordeal.

“I don’t know if this is true or not or what the deal is but…rumor has it that Marvel may have made some sort of deal with Matt Shakman who is the director of Fantastic Four (2025). I don’t know if they have signed some sort of multi-project overall deal with him but potentially they have” said Sneider.

The film critic further continued that if it were a multi-project thing then Matt Shakman would also have to direct several episodes of VisionQuest to make up for the connectivity of the stories.

“That would involve him also directing some episodes of VisionQuest and potentially executive producing…a Silver Surfer series”

Upon the reveal, the live chat on the video went crazy as the people praised Shakman for trying to develop a full-fledged map of the Fantastic Four characters as he became intensely focused on this project. The side of Silver Surfer will also prove very beneficial to Marvel since he essentially reins in the planet devourer entity…Galactus.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is known not to leave loose ends behind. The inclusion of the Silver Surfer will surely be for a greater purpose as the people eagerly await the arrival of Galactus. Essentially as a servant to the all-bad entity, Silver Surfer was on a mission under the orders of Galactus himself.

It is reported that Matt Shakman is currently the director of the upcoming movie Fantastic Four. If the rumors are true then being the executive producer of the Silver Surfer series also brings him a huge advantage as he can have things portrayed his way and the way that fits the narrative of the entire MCU. People theorize that it won’t be long till Galactus sees its next target and the newly recruited Avengers will have to face off against the galaxy devourer himself.

With Fantastic Four currently in pre-production, the Matt Shakman-directed movie is currently set for a release date of 14th February 2025 in theaters across the globe.
