Kraven The Hunter is one of the most memorable characters from Marvel Comics. Also known as Sergei Kravinoff, he is an exceptional fighter and has a special bond with animals, which puts him up to quite a big challenge as an opponent. He has an intense and interesting backstory which has allowed him to go head-to-head with some of the most powerful superheroes, including Spider-Man, Venom, and Black Panther, and is occasionally even part of the Sinister Six.
The recent on-scene adaption of this character has caused quite the buzz. The movie is part of Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters and will star Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kravinoff. The trailer for this movie was recently dropped and fans have a lot to say about it.
The Trailer of Kraven The Hunter Has Caused Quite a Stir On Twitter
With the trailer of Kraven The Hunter being recently dropped, it gave us a glimpse of what we can expect from the movie. The trailer gave us a look at Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Sergei Kravinoff or Kraven The Hunter. It also gave us a look at another iconic Spider-Man villain, Rhino or Aleksei Sytsevich. While there were a lot of exciting aspects of this trailer, some fans seem to focus on a different kind of detail.
Kraven The Hunter’s costume in comics has quite a lot of animal features. From a lion as a coat to a necklace made of teeth, his attire is quite unconventional. This costume was quite literally copied onto Johnson’s version of the character, being incredibly accurate. Fans however seem not too pleased about this calling the costume similar to that of another Marvel character.
Fans’ Reaction to Aaron Taylor-Johnson Being Called The White Panther in The New Trailer For Kraven The Hunter
Karven The Hunter and Black Panther have quite similar features in their costumes, both integrating animal aspects into their suits. So it is not surprising that fans are finding Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s costume to be a ‘copy’ of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Black Panther.
Fans have gone on to call Johnson’s look in the new trailer a Caucasian version of the iconic character, going so far as to even call the character a knock-off of Chadwick Boseman’s character.
Many have even pointed out the similarities in the movie posters as both characters are sitting on thrones in similar poses. Some, however, are supporting Johnson’s Kraven The Hunter, stating that the similarities are purely coincidental and the character is being adapted pretty accurately from the comics.
