This spin-off game will release sometime in 2024 for consoles and PC. The franchise has seen a resurgence and this video game continues Nickelodeon/Paramount’s desire to bring the turtles back into mainstream entertainment.
What Is Known About This Mutant Mayhem Video Game?
Here’s everything we know about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem video game so far. The story takes place months after Mutant Mayhem as the turtles fight against a new mutant threat. The visuals/graphics will be inspired by the film’s gritty and paint-like art style. The gameplay will have you control the turtles as you battle it out to save New York City.

Outright Games will be publishing the Mutant Mayhem video game. Their past games include a bunch of licensed properties like Peppa Pig: World Adventures, PAW Patrol: Grand Prix, and DC’s Justice League: Cosmic Chaos. Some of the Steam reviews are trolling/unhelpful but the helpful reviews are relatively positive with complaints about the price versus playtime.
The developers for Mutant Mayhem is unknown at the moment, but I’m sure we’ll learn soon enough. If the quality is up to snuff with Outright Games’ past titles, Mutant Mayhem should hopefully deliver on an enjoyable ninja turtles video game experience.
Where Else Is Mutant Mayhem Expanding?
In case you haven’t watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, it’s a brand new take on the Ninja Turtles with an emphasis on their teenager side. Seth Rogen, who wrote, produced, and voiced Bebop in Mutant Mayhem, wanted to capture this by casting teenagers for all four Ninja Turtles. Their chemistry and immature nature is shown on screen as this new take of the turtles saves New York City. The Mutant Mayhem turtles have been successful.
The film recently made $100 million domestically and it’s already out on digital platforms. A movie sequel and Paramount+ series are also on the way. With this Mutant Mayhem video game taking shape, the Ninja Turtles are making a major comeback to longtime fans but also new fans from the film.
The Ninja Turtles are no strangers to video games as some of their most beloved games include the original arcade game and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time. Most recently, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge released last year, capturing the same arcade beat’em up action for modern platforms. New DLC for Shredder’s Revenge just dropped called Dimension Shellshock, adding new characters, survival mode, and character skins.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem video game is set to launch in 2024 for PC and consoles. It’s not clear if the consoles are for current generation only (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S) or for past generations as well (Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One).
