The highly anticipated Uncharted movie based on the widely popular video-game franchise has been making strides over the past few months. After resuming filming back in September in Berlin, the movie has finally revealed the first look of Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, the protagonist of Uncharted.
Back in February, we at FandomWire had confirmed that Mark Wahlberg was cast as Victor Sullivan. The set photos from Berlin last month revealed both Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland working the widely anticipated movie.
Joining alongside the Academy Award nominee Mark Walhberg is Golden Globe winner and Academy Award nominee Antonio Banderas. Grey’s Anatomy star Sophia Taylor Ali and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actress Tati Gabrielle are also cast in the movie in undisclosed roles.

After being in development limbo for over a decade, Uncharted finally found its director in Ruben Fleischer, best known for Tom Hardy starring Venom. As the production was halted due to the CoVID-19 pandemic for many months, the movie, fortunately, began production in July.

Finally, Spider-Man star Tom Holland has revealed his first look as Nathan Drake in his latest Instagram post. The actor has also revealed that he will be directly joining the production of Spider-Man 3 once Uncharted finishes production.
According to the official reports, Uncharted has revealed the following synopsis:
An archaeologist and treasure hunter with “muscles, not the kind you get from the gym, but from dodging bullets.” His parents believed they were descendants of Sir Francis Drake, a famous archaeologist and discoverer of El Dorado, a belief that Drake doesn’t share. Regardless, his parent’s legacy gets him sucked into a race against a ruthless criminal to discover El Dorado.

Despite video-game adaptations having a dubious record when it comes to critical and commercial performance, Uncharted has still managed to get our hopes up. As one of the best-selling video-game franchises of all time, the Uncharted franchise has sold over 41 million units and has received critical acclaim for its gripping plot, unparalleled gaming experience, animation, unforgettable characters, stylized mechanics, and brilliant voice-acting.
