Kristen Stewart is one of the most popular actresses in the industry and is constantly making headlines for one reason or another. The American actress is all set to make her directorial debut with a movie based on Lidia Yuknavitch’s memoir, The Chronology of Water. However, Stewart allegedly wants to make her first movie with her own funds and she recently talked about how she is inspired by the legendary actor John Cassavetes while talking to Rachel Sennott.
Kristen Stewart talks about how she is inspired by John Cassavetes
Earlier this year, Kristen Stewart and Rachel Sennott talked over a Zoom call while the latter was promoting her series, The Idol. During the call, Stewart hinted about how her movie based on Lidia Yuknavitch’s memoir, The Chronology of Water is getting delayed as she wants to make her first movie on her own finances. The actress talked about she is inspired by the legendary actor John Cassavetes who was known for financing his own movies. She said,
“I feel scared of anything big lately. There’s a weird hierarchy that makes me uncomfortable. This is the most clichéd, rote, expected, and completely genuine thing, but I just want to make a Cassavetes movie. I want my first movie to be a student film, even if it takes three years. I’m also not going to make a movie for more than $5 million, because it makes me uncomfortable and they usually suck. But getting people to agree to do that is so hard.”
Although Kristen Stewart continues to work on The Chronology of Water, the actress revealed that she also has other projects on the line while talking to Sennott.
The Twilight actress is all set to work in her fiance’s movie
While talking to Rachel Sennott, Kristen Stewart further talked about her future plans and how she is all set to star in her fiance, Dylan Meyer’s upcoming movie. The actress gave more details about the movie and revealed that the movie is going to be a ‘stoner girl comedy‘. She said,
“Me and Dylan are working on a movie that she wrote and I’m starring in. It’s a stoner girl comedy, and it’s really f–king stupid. I think you’ll like it. But the reason I even thought of this is because our producer is our best friend. We’re starting a company. I’ve worked with so many people that I didn’t know and that I didn’t like for so long. It was definitely valuable, but also, fu*k that.”
According to sources, Kristen Stewart’s The Chronology of Water has been in the works since 2018, and last year it was revealed that the English actress, Imogen Poots will be playing the lead role in the movie. Ridley Scott will be producing the movie.
