In the past, dozens of TV shows on networks, such as NBC and CBS, along with streaming services, including Netflix and Hulu, have come to an abrupt end. Some of these TV shows deserved at least one more season in their series to justify their endings.

Either due to poor ratings or because the network turned its attention to other projects, we lost a lot of good shows through the years which would’ve simply been bangers had they gotten completed.

1. The Society (2019)

The show was canceled because of COVID

2. The Carrie Diaries (2013-2014)

The viewership of the show was just too low to justify the network ordering a third season.

3. I Am Not Okay With This (2020)

Netflix resolved to cancel the show owing to its production cost versus the perceived value.

4. Me, Myself, and I (2017-2018)

On November 1, 2017, Me, Myself & I was pulled from the schedule, essentially canceling the low-rated series.

5. Freaks and Geeks (1999-2000)

9. Scream Queens (2015-2016)

Fox chairman Gary Newman said, “It feels as if it was a complete series” so the network decided the cancel the horror-comedy.

10. The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019)

The show was a victim of Netflix’s “viewership-versus-cost-of-renewal review process”

11. Daybreak (2019)

Netflix stated that simply not enough people watched to justify another season.

12. Santa Clarita Diet (2017-2019)

Reportedly, the series was becoming very expensive for Netflix and wasn’t gaining enough viewership to warrant a new season for the series.

13. GLOW (2017-2019)

Owing to the coronavirus pandemic, the makers decided to call off the show permanently

14. Project Blue Book (2019-2020)

History canceled the Aidan Gillen-fronted drama ended on March 24 with Gillen’s Dr. Allen Hynek searching for his colleague Capt. Michael Quinn

15. Teenage Bounty Hunters (2020)

The show got canceled by Netflix due to the production of lesser than expected profits

16. Twisted (2013-2014)

The network decided to cancel “Twisted” after only one season following poor ratings.

17. Bunheads (2012-2013)

The sole reason for Bunheads getting canceled was because of its low ratings

18. The Get Down (2016-2017)

24. My So-Called Life (1994-1995)

ABC canceled My So-Called Life after a 19-episode season due to its very low ratings and Danes’ reluctance to reprise her role as Angela Chase for another year.

25. Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists (2019)

PLL: The Perfectionists apparently didn’t gain the traction the original series did hence the makers called it off.

26. Terra Nova (2011)

Terra Nova season 2 was canceled due to a combination of high production costs and the show’s scale being a little too big for television.

27. Popular (1999-2001)

The ratings of the show dropped and the network consequently canceled the show.

28. Higher Ground (2000)

Although praised and well-rated, the series was canceled after its first season due to the sale of its broadcast network the same year.

29. The O.A. (2016-2019)

The show reportedly got canceled due to Brit’s injury after which she was not able to continue her role as OA.

30. Agent Carter (2015-2016)

The show couldn’t gain much of its audience after which ABC decided to star Atwell in a different TV series. This resulted in Agent Carter getting canceled after just two seasons.
