Miles Teller found fame after starring in Whiplash back in 2014. Navigating his way through Hollywood, the actor found the love of his life back in 2013 when he and Keleigh Sperry met at a Black Keys concert.
Talking about his romantic dates and the eventual proposal that led to his wedding, Miles Teller was all smiles and blushes. Stating how his then-girlfriend thought that somebody had died during Teller’s proposal, the actor revealed the hilarious yet wholesome tale of his love.
When Miles Teller Proposed To His Girlfriend
Meeting each other back in 2013, Miles Teller focused more on his career and went on to star in several notable movies like Whiplash and War Dogs. In 2017 when he and his girlfriend Keleigh Sperry decided to go on a vacation, Miles Teller decided to propose to her on an exotic safari in South Africa.
In an interview with Elle, the Top Gun: Maverick actor detailed his journey from how he took the help of an African guide. Stating how Keleigh Sperry thought that someone died before Miles Teller pulled out the ring, the actor narrated the hilarious tale.
“I had our guide, early in the morning, tie a rose to a tree… [We] walked up to this nice scenic vista having coffee. She looked over and saw a rose and thought somebody had died. Which, whatever.”
He further continued,
“I said, ‘This is the day you became my girlfriend, and today was the last day you woke up as my girlfriend.’”
After the proposal in 2017, the couple married in a private ceremony in Maui, Hawaii back in 2019, and have been happily married ever since.
Miles Teller Knew She Was The One
In a 2019 interview with Vogue, the War Dogs actor opened up about his marriage with Keleigh Sperry and the certainty that she was the one. Talking about how she had caught Teller’s eye during that concert, the actor asserted that he knew she was the one after meeting her!
“Keleigh had caught my eye early in the night, and we talked. I didn’t think it went well, but after a few more attempts, I got her to dance with me, and a week later, we went on a date. After we met, I knew she was the one,”
The couple recently celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary in Bora Bora as celebrities and fans around the world congratulated them for their love. Miles Teller is currently attached to The Ark and the Aardvark by lending his voice to the character of Gilbert. The movie is slated for a release date of 30 April 2024.
