Furness is considerably older than her husband, having been born on November 30, 1955, while her husband was born on October 12, 1968. Nevertheless, if ever there was proof that age is just a number, this is it (but, unfortunately, they have always had to defend their marriage).
Jackman has once discussed how pleased he was to have met Deborra-Lee Furness. In 2013, he stated in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter:
“I was single when I met her, and she was single. I was happy being single. I was out of a difficult relationship I’d had through drama school, and it was tumultuous and hard. They have been content with each other ever since he was finally ready to express his emotions to confess his love to the 67-year-old Australian actress and producer.
