The cast of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has opened up about how much the new cast has helped them through the grieving process after the passing of Chadwick Boseman and seeing new hope during the filming of the movie.
The actress who plays the role of Okoye in Black Panther, Danai Gurira has confessed about the grief she and the rest of the cast had felt over the passing of legendary actor, Chadwick Boseman in August of 2020.

Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther
Chadwick Boseman was one of the most talented actors in the industry. Apart from being a major role model for black kids who crave and deserve more inclusivity in modern media, he was also nominated for an Academy Award.
Chadwick was at the peak of his career when Colon Cancer took his life. After waging a full-blown war with cancer, Chadwick Boseman finally succumbed to the clutches of the disease in August of 2020.
The world was left heartbroken and in tears when the news hit the media that T’Challa has ascended to heaven. No one was ready to accept the bitter news.
Given fans, who had never even met the actor were so heartbroken, it is almost unimaginable the kind of pain family and friends of Chadwick Boseman felt. These friends included the cast of Black Panther he has worked with on many projects, especially Okoye actress, Danai Gurira.

Danai Gurira Fets Supported by New Cast Members
Danai Gurira has expressed with a heavy heart that the passing of Chadwick Boseman hit her up again when she showed up at the shooting of the new Marvel movie, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
However, she clarified that the cast of this new Black Panther movie was so accepting and supportive that the grief she felt became easier to bear.

She went on to state that although she and the rest of the old cast members were unsure of shooting without their beloved T’Challa, the new cast members were incredibly supportive and “really held them up”.
“We didn’t know when and how it was going to hit us. It hit us various ways and at various moments. Sometimes just walking onto the stage and hearing Ryan [Coogler] talk before that, we were getting hit, like, watching it. And there are various moments where you’re just being hit by that. And it was beautifully said by Dominique [Thorne] and by Michaela [Coel] that they really were support for us.”
“There was a really hard day that I had on set and she was there for me. And you just never knew when it was going to be a really hard day. And so they were really amazing, our new family. They understood they were in a place where grief was happening and they really held us up. We got great new family.”
Everyone needs to have some people in their life like the “great new family” Danai Gurira expressed her new colleagues to be.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be premiering on November 11, 2022.
