Since Marvel has stepped into the OTT thanks to Disney+ there have been many shows. After the first one, Wanda Vision it was clear that Marvel will venture into this arena and weave it into its universe. Today shows like Loki, Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight are important plot pieces tying the madness together.
With the series, it did become tough to keep up with the Marvel shenanigans yet some of these shows turned out pretty entertaining like She-Hulk, Loki, and Ms. Marvel. Vincent D’Onofrio who plays Kingpin spoke to Newsweek spilling details about Season two of Daredevil.
Daredevil star makes Season two announcement
Daredevil (2015) is one of the best Marvel shows out there, it is entertaining, gruesome, violent, painted with blood, and banger storyline. It was canceled by Netflix in 2018 after three seasons and now Disney+ will reincarnate the devil again.
After a successful run of three seasons, the audience is excited about Daredevil: Born Again. Vincent D’Onofrio will reunite with his Daredevil co-star Charlie Cox. Vincent D’Onofrio was detailing his opinions about the show when he shifted gears and announced Season two,
“… By the second season, there are gigantic, gigantic payoffs—in the first season, too, but I can’t say much about that—but the fans are gonna get what they want. It’s quite cool to be doing it.”
This is without a doubt an unofficial confirmation of the next season. If the show fairs well with the viewers and keeps in line with Marvel’s principle of less quantity more quality then we might see one more season of our sexy protagonist Daredevil.
The Daredevil star shares details about Daredevil: Born Again
The show if maintains the same gritty and violent demeanor of its predecessor, it will serve Marvel fans relief from funny punch lines, no death or consequences, and sanitized violence. Given that it is Disney, that seems unlikely, the show will be sanitized of any gruesome violence. The actor informs us that Daredevil will be very different from its Netflix predecessor. Vincent D’Onofrio shared with Newsweek,
“We’ve only just started shooting. I think we’re a couple of weeks in, and the show is going to be very, very different than the Netflix show, and it’s so exciting because what we’re doing is quite something.”
He continues,
“I think it’s something that people are not going to expect. But, always with these Marvel old comic stories that are being revisited and reinvented by us actors and the writers, the main thing is to answer the fans.”
It stands to test how different will it be? and will the change be for the better or worse? Considering Marvel and Disney’ current position and content it is indeed a gamble. Vincent D’Onofrio had a lot more to say about the show and its take on the eerily violent Daredevil, he said Bernthal’s Punisher will play a major role in the show. Fans have no clue how will he take on a major role but for now all we know is that Daredevil is Born Again, to light our screens with dark rumors and twisted words.
