It was known that the Oscar-winning series star earned an amount of $350,000. But as Sweeney explained that she has other expenses to cover, this much salary is not enough for her.
In a serious conversation with the news outlet The Hollywood Reporter, the White Lotus actress came forward and revealed her financial condition. She said to the outlet that nowadays actors don’t get good pay and nor do they get residuals. She believes that only the well-established once get paid nicely, but the salary she gets goes into extra expenditure.
“I thought that if I made enough money, I’d be able to buy my parents’ house back and that I’d be able to put my parents back together. But when I turned 18, I only had $800 to my name. My parents weren’t back together and there was nothing I could do to help.”
Sydney Sweeney Cannot Afford A House For Her Parents
The award-winning Actress reveals that she takes up other projects and partnership deals so that she could earn more. When she debuted in acting, she has one sole motive. The motive was none other than to bring together her parents after they parted ways. When she was a teen, they were forced to relocate to a motel in Washington, after leaving Los Angeles. As the actress’s family didn’t have enough money to stay in Los Angeles.
Sweeney explained how she was helpless and couldn’t do anything to bring her parents back together. She aspired to make more money to get her parents a good home and keep them together. But by the time she turned 18, there was nothing she could do, and didn’t have enough money as well.
Marvel Cinematic Universe Welcomes Sydney Sweeney
Marvel Studios and Sony are pretty good at bringing the best talent to their franchises. It recruited Sydney Sweeney as well for its upcoming movie Madame Web. In past interviews, the Sharp Objects actress revealed that she is a fan girl of Marvel movies.
She spoke about how she grew up watching the marvel movies and for her its truly a dream come true when they took her onboard. Sweeney will be playing the role of Julia Carpenter also known as the Second Spider-Woman in Marvel Comics.
