After losing the defamation case filed by Johnny Depp and brutally humiliating herself, Amber Heard settled to pay $1M to her ex-husband to compensate him. While Depp’s name got cleared from this controversy, Heard found herself stuck as her career in the movie industry headed toward a dangerous crisis.
Although the 37-year-old actress recently made her comeback on the big screen with In the Fire, a small-budget movie, it seems that it would take more than just a mere apology and compensation for Heard to reclaim her position in Hollywood.

While her career took a negative turn downhill because of the controversial trial, it seems that Amber Heard is rather optimistic about her career’s future. Talking about her comeback strategy on the big screen, public relations expert Gary Sheffer remarked how it’s important for people to see Amber Heard as an actress and not as a ‘litigant’.
Appreciating Amber Heard’s strategy to return to the big screen, the expert also commented and gave the verdict on the Aquaman star’s future in the industry, saying,
“Your comeback from these types of situations is as good as your performance. People are very forgiving. There is nothing to gain by rearguing or relitigating her dispute with Johnny Depp. I think they can both have their own success.”
Even though Amber Heard has been getting a lot of hate because of the controversy she wounded-up in, the actress is said to be looking forward to moving ahead in her career, not taking her current situation as a sign to stop.
Amber Heard Wants to be Seen as an Actress
After finally losing the defamation case in 2022, Amber Heard was visibly distressed as the future of her career in the film industry felt unclear to her. However, keeping an optimistic approach to her future and winning fans’ forgiveness, the Aquaman star said,
“I’m in control for the most part of what comes out of my mouth. What I’m not in control of is how my pride in this project and all we put into this film can be surrounded by clips of other stuff. So let’s get the elephant out of the room then, and just let me say that. I am an actress. I’m here to support a movie. And that’s not something I can be sued for.”
Although fans even demanded that Amber Heard be removed from the Aquaman sequel, the actress will still be seen starring opposite Jason Momoa in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, their upcoming movie.
