And while starring in the 2016 installment of the series, the X-Men star opened up about an NSFW improv she did for one of the scenes and that she was highly disappointed after it did not make it to the final cut.

Jennifer Lawrence’s NSFW Improv in X-Men: Apocalypse

As much as she is popular and praised for her work on-screen, Jennifer Lawrence is also quite known for her quirky and fun behavior off the screen. Not just people around her, but the actress herself has shared multiple such stories with the most recent being from the set of her 2023 comedy film No Hard Feelings.

And something similar happened while filming the 2016 film X-Men: Apocalypse alongside James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, and the rest of the cast. During an interview with Collider, the X-Men star talked about an improv she did that did not make it to the final cut of the movie.

She shared that she did a “pretty great improv” while filming a scene in Professor X’s office. Lawrence felt that the “air couldn’t be dead” before their conversation started, so she thought of an improv to ease the tension. “And then Brian calls ‘action,’ and then it goes, ‘You know the things is the students, they’re really s*xy,'” Lawrence recalled.

The Hunger Games star shared that she was sad to see the scene never made it to the final cut. She also shared that it was also the one to ruin the most takes while filming. She specifically mentioned the scene that she couldn’t go through and even had to sit out during that scene.

Jennifer Lawrence Hated Playing Mystique

After making her debut in X-Men: First Class, Jennifer Lawrence went on to star in three more X-Men movies. The 32-year-old actress has been candid about how hard it was to play the character, and one of the things she did not like the most about it, was her transformation. “I love these movies — it’s just the paint,” she shared, referring to her look in the movie.

She had to spend hours getting ready with paint and prosthetics, which made the simplest things hardest for her. “The guys who made it were like: ‘Well, she’s a girl. She doesn’t go to the bathroom!” she shared during an interview. Lawrence was last seen as Mystique in the 2019 film Dark Phoenix.
