The Roccat Kone Pro Air is a sleek and ergonomic wireless gaming mouse that slots easily into a gaming setup. Weighing in at just 75g; the Kone Pro Air is one of the lightest gaming peripheries on the market. Tucked inside its lightweight and comfortable-to-use frame are a whole lot of useful features that put it head and shoulders above the competition. But what makes this mouse so reliable is not just the technology in the device but also the 14 years of research and development packed inside of it.
Death By a Thousand Clicks- How Does The Roccat Kone Pro Air Beat Out The Competition?
The Stellar Wireless/Bluetooth connectivity, The Titan Switch Optical and the Roccat Bionic Shell are just some of the features that combine to make the Roccat Kone Pro Air a true innovator. Focusing on the Stellar Wireless/Bluetooth connectivity, the dual system works in tandem to allow you to switch seamlessly between wired and wireless modes.
The 2.4GHz USB transmitter in the mouse is reliable for gaming, while Bluetooth connectivity allows for productivity. Will this improve your aim in your favourite FPS? Probably not but the hyper-responsive and smooth mouse movements will allow you to keep pace with opponents.
Whether you are playing Valorant or Call of Duty Warzone, I found the battery life of the Kone Pro Air to be exceptional for long sessions. Its Rapid Charge technology gives you 5 hours of playtime with just 10 minutes of charging. If you’d rather play with a wired mouse The Kone Pro Air also has you covered on that front with a detachable PhantomFlex USB-C cable, allowing you to have a latency-free gaming experience, you can also charge its battery while you play.
The Titan Switch optical is another impressive feature of the Kone Pro Air Providing a tactile and responsive click with unprecedented speed and precision. As I said before it’s not going to make your aim better, but this responsive tech will at least set you on the road to improving it, giving you the speed to perform those flick headshots needed in clutch moments.

The neat thing about the Titan Switch optical is that according to Roccat it’s faster than any mechanical switch on the market. This, added to the fact that its components are twice as durable as industry competitors, will make sure the Kone Pro Air is built to last.
Moving away from the inside technology of the Kone Pro Air, the mouse is also sleek and flashy to look at with its durable shell and built-in AIMO colour RGB lighting. The lightweight shell with its honeycomb design looks smart and provides a cool design for the RGB lights to shine through.
On the customisation side of the Kone Pro Air, the ROCCAT Swarm launcher lets you tinker with your mouse to an in-depth extent. Swarm has several useful features, giving users the option to set up to five profiles per device, so that each user can have a unique experience. On top of this, you can easily assign different mouse buttons to several basic and advanced functions. One that I found particularly helpful was the DPI cycle option that allows you to cycle through a several mouse sensitivities with the click of a button that can also be adjusted in ROCCAT Swarm.

My only issue with ROCCAT Swarm is the somewhat complicated menus that you must scroll through to adjust basic settings and key bindings, which can make for a frustrating experience on occasion. However, you can also set up The Kone Pro Air without the ROCCAT Swarm launcher with a driverless set-up being available for the first time if you want a simple set-up experience.

Overall, the Roccat Kone Pro Air is almost the perfect mouse with its lightweight and sleek design and fantastic battery life. The great number of customisation options available through ROCCAT Swarm also provides those who like to toy with their mouse with some solid in-depth customisation options.
Although it is priced on the higher end of the price, the Roccat Kone Pro Air easily beats out competitors in the wireless mouse market, showing that 14 years of craftmanship have created a durable and reliable peripheral, fit for any set-up.
