However, even with the falling numbers in the movie’s global rating, The Flash did, in fact, succeed in hinting at the next Aquaman movie along with a possible sequel for Barry Allen. As per recent reports, The Flash also featured a cameo of GoT star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, which has opened talks for the plausible theories behind his brief appearance.

DCEU’s Ezra Miller starrer The Flash has been gaining a lot of negative reviews ever since its release on the 16th of June, 2023. Even though it has been one of the most anticipated DC movies of all time, the movie has been getting quite a lot of controversy after its release.

Even after being one of the most hated DC movies of all time, The Flash has ignited new sparks of hope in fans through its cameos, which indicate a potential sequel for DC’s Barry Allen among others. One such fleeting moment in the cameos also showed a major Game of Thrones Cameo featuring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, a renowned star from the series.

In the blink-and-you-miss-it moment, young Barry Allen can be seen stealing a slice of pizza from Coster-Waldau’s hands at super speed during his quick test run. While the cameo was too short to be clearly perceived, it still has left GoT fans wondering the reason behind it and what could be its possible meaning for The Flash as well as for DCEU.

While Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s appearance in The Flash is sudden and literally out of the blue, many theories have been coming up from fans and critics about the possible reason behind the Game of Thrones actor’s occurrence in the movie’s cameo.

One such theory states that the director of The Flash, Andy Muschietti, had previously worked with the GoT actor on a horror movie called Mama, where Coster-Waldau played the role of twin brothers. Reports claim that they became good friends because of that movie. In the meanwhile, Coster-Waldau too confirmed that his appearance in The Flash was just a small role and did not mean anything crucial in the story.

This theory makes sense because of the fact that Muschietti and Coster-Waldau are friends. However, it might also not mean anything with the cameo being ‘just a cameo’ judging how the movie has several other similar cameos and references that do not imply anything.

You can catch The Flash in theatres now.
