In a recent interview with The Hook, the Jason Bourne star was with Blunt for the promotional tour of their recently released film Oppenheimer where the interviewer asked him about how he felt like playing his character Gen. Leslie Groves. During that question, he also reminded Damon that his critically acclaimed film Saving Private Ryan came out 25 years ago. Hearing this, the Jungle Cruise star brought an astonished look to her face and reminded him just how ancient he was, which was a given considering he was older than her.

While her comment was a friendly jab considering just how playful their friendly relationship is with each other, the interviewer was quite taken aback by that sudden input by the actress and was compelled to apologize to Damon on her behalf saying “That’s very harshly worded, I’m really sorry.” But Damon just brushed it off as another one of Blunt’s friendly jests, and then later, continued to throw jabs at her as well.
