Modern Family star Sofia Vergara snapped on Wednesday’s episode of America’s Got Talent when a lie detector machine was brought in and host, Terry Crews, asked who would take a shot at it, as seen on ET Canada’s YouTube clip. Upon being chosen, she went for it sitting on a throne made out of tater tots when her co-judge asked her an uncomfortable question.
Vergara, who announced her split from Joe Manganiello back in July, stormed off the stage and went back to her seat at the judge’s section when co-judge, Howie Mandel, poked fun at her current relationship status.
However, in a report from PEOPLE on the recent matter, it has come to light that Mandel has been at it for some time now. Vergara, unstrapping the lie detector equipment from her arm, set quite the example.

Lie detector tests have surely picked up a considerable amount of attention on the internet as most actors have been going for it on Vanity Fair’s YouTube handle for entertainment purposes. America’s Got Talent tried to do the same with their 18th season this time, but it backfired on Sofia Vergara.
Saying “Why me,” she responded to a number of questions, but Howie Mandel’s jibe at her single status got on her nerves. Mandel asked newly single Vergara to be honest about whether she liked someone from the audience.
While it may have been a funny moment for the people enjoying the show, a sudden surge of shock was seen on her face as she couldn’t believe what she’d heard. She didn’t wait for Terry Crews’ cue and said, “That’s it!” (via ET Canada)
Howie Mandel’s Previous Taunts At Sofia Vergara
According to PEOPLE, Mandel’s previous remarks at Vergara got him some internet backlash and he had to clarify his statements a couple of days later in an interview with Extra. We’re not sure what Mandel wants to achieve with his long-running taunts at her, but the backlash didn’t stop him. What did he say previously?
“If you’re looking for eligible bachelors, you should’ve talked to Sofía because she’s in the market right now.” (via PEOPLE)
In one of the more recent episodes, he asked her, “You love relationship comedy, don’t you? Too soon?” As for damage control, he cleared the air on Extra by saying, “I don’t think, Sofía, to be honest… she doesn’t need my help.”
