Recently he released a video sharing how he prepared for his most dangerous stunt for his upcoming film, Mission Impossible 7.
While The Outsiders star is loved for his performances, that might not always be the case for him. Princess Diana’s former chef Darren McGrady revealed a similar incident where she rejected the Hollywood star for being too short.

Why Princess Diana Crossed Tom Cruise Off Her Dating List?
Princess Diana met a number of celebrities and icons throughout her lifetime. She also had the opportunity to meet Tom Cruise when she was invited to the set of Mission Impossible. Her former chef Darren McGrady shared the story in a special video to the late Princess on her 60th birthday. McGrady shared his experience serving the late Princess and shared her favorite dishes.
While talking about Princess Diana, he mentioned that she was not very fond of movies. However, one morning she came into the Kitchen and told him about the invitation she received to watch the making of Mission Impossible.
“She [Diana] came into the kitchen one morning, and said, ‘Darren, we’ve had an invite to go and watch the making of Mission Impossible at Pinewood Studios in London, for me to take William and Harry.”
The mother of Prince William and Prince Harry then asked him if her sons would find it interesting. The Chef, however, asked her if she is interested in meeting the Hollywood star, Tom Cruise.
She replied to him saying, “Darren I’ll crack the funnies.” Later that day she came back from the shoot and told him that her sons “absolutely loved it, all those explosions and things.” The chef recalled that she did not say anything after that as she picked some fruits.
As she walked out of the kitchen she said, “That’s another one off the list. He’s too short.” Darren McGrady shared that she did meet Tom Cruise on her visit to the set, but was not very much impressed with his height.
While the American Made star is 5′ 7″, Princess Diana was 5′ 10″ and it seems she had no desire to have a partner who was 3″ shorter than her.
Mission Impossible 7 Expected to be the Biggest Film in the Franchise
So far, Tom Cruise has starred in six Mission Impossible films and is set to feature in the seventh installment of the franchise. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is set to release in July this year and is expected to be the biggest film in the franchise.
According to Variety’s box office predictions, Mission Impossible 7 could “hit the coveted billion-dollar mark.” The prediction claims that the Cruise starrer would certainly not face any “diminishing returns” at the box office.
Expectations with his upcoming film are already high after Tom Cruise released a video sharing how he did the most dangerous stunt of his career. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning is set to release in two parts.
Part one of the film will be the second last film in the 27-year-old franchise. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two is expected to be Ethan Hunt’s last appearance in the popular franchise.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is set to release on July 14, 2023.
