In a detailed interview with W magazine, the Silver Linings Playbook star was asked if she was ever starstruck. Lawrence replied,
“To me, the biggest celebrities in the world are, like, Pete Davidson. Or when Ariana Grande was in my last film, Don’t Look Up, I was photographed with her and I fully look like a radio contest winner. I would be starstruck if I saw Jessica Simpson. That would knock me over.”

Jennifer Lawrence shared being starstruck while working with Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande is the leading pop singer in the industry and has given several hits in the past years. Many of her tunes, including Thank U, Next, Bang Bang, 7 Rings, Positions, and more have topped the Billboard charts.
It seems unlikely for the pop star to cross paths with actress Jennifer Lawrence; however, they did work together for Adam McKay’s film Don’t Look Up. The film also featured stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, and Timothée Chalamet.
Jennifer Lawrence shared in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that she was amazed on meeting the pop singer,
“I’m excited to be here with the whole cast. I’m so excited for this movie and for people to see it. I mean, Meryl Streep is the actual greatest actor that has ever lived, and when you watch her in person it only confirms that. I think I was more star-struck to be around Ariana Grande. Because our worlds don’t collide with the musicians, and what she does is so different.”
During a Q&A session at BAFTA Awards, the Passengers star shared her excitement working with Grande and her fangirl moment (via Variety),
“She can’t make bad music. I’ve since reflected on my behavior with Ariana Grande. I went a full radio contest winner. I was so excited and nervous that at one point, I just kind of walked into her hotel room and sat down. I’ve just been thinking about it a lot lately. There were all of these trunks for her hair and makeup, and I was like, ‘Do you live here?’”
Jennifer Lawrence played the role of Kate Dibiasky, an MSU doctoral candidate in astronomy in Don’t Look Up. Ariana Grande portrayed the character of Riley Bina, a pop superstar in the film.
