The 59-year-old actor said in an interview for W Magazine’s Best Performances issue that he had to roll around in the hay for a love scene during his brief appearance on Dallas’s 11th season in the late 1980s.

Brad Pitt’s First Love Scene
After being asked about his first love scene, Brad Pitt revealed that it was for the TV show Dallas. The actor participated in the show’s eleventh season and had to perform a love scene that involved rolling around in the hay in a barn.
Brad Pitt said he was “rolling and frolicking” because he had no lines. It was a fascinating beginning to a fruitful Hollywood career.
“I had to roll around in the hay in a barn. I don’t think I had a line. I was just rolling and frolicking.”

Thelma & Louise, in which Brad Pitt starred in 1991, was his first major film role. The actor portrayed J.D., a charismatic drifter who has an affair with Geena Davis’s character, Thelma. Pitt reflected on the time spent filming the iconic love scene and revealed that it took two full days.
“Geena [Davis] was so sweet and kind and delicate. That love scene, I think, went on for two days of shooting. She took care of me.”
During the interview, Brad Pitt expressed gratitude to Davis for his support and assistance during the scene’s filming. He praised her gentle nature and said she made him feel at ease during filming. It was a watershed moment in Pitt’s career that propelled him to Hollywood stardom.
Brad Pitt said in the same interview that he had to try out for the part three times before he got it. Before settling on Pitt, the casting directors had considered a few other actors. Pitt stated that he had no doubts about his ability to portray the character successfully.
Brad Pitt persisted in his pursuit of the role despite early rejection. He kept trying out for the role until it was returned to him. Pitt kept trying for the role that would make him famous, and eventually, he got it.

Crashing Brad Pitt’s Wedding
Brad Pitt also shared a fun story about how he crashed a wedding while filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2005. As Pitt and co-star Angelina Jolie filmed in a downtown Deco building, they noticed movement in the penthouse above them.
After learning that it was a wedding celebration, Pitt decided to crash the party. Pitt said the party went well, and the guests didn’t mind. Pitt’s spontaneous action revealed his carefree nature.
