Chris Evans Decides To Take a Break From Social Media

Chris Evans has officially deactivated all social media, breaking the heart of countless fans but before deactivating he shared a note with his fans. The What’s Your Number actor explained to his fans, stating that he is taking “a little break” from Twitter and Instagram.

Evans provided a clearer explanation on his Instagram stories when he put a post of Taron Egerton, who had also announced his departure from social media. According to screenshots shared by fans, The Kingsman actor stated,

“I’m going to take a break from social media for a while. I’m not sure why I’m making a big declaration about it; I just think it’s hard to break away from a cycle that I’ve grown to find a bit addictive, and this is me making a commitment to myself.”

Egerton’s note continued which stated that he has realized how spending too much time on social media is affecting him, and his ability to read books and “to seek out the company of people I love is eroding.”

“I’ve gotten myself to a place where I spend too much time scrolling and I actually feel like my ability to sit and be present and read books and watch movies and even seek out the company of people I love is eroding.”

The Ghosted actor shared that post on his story with the caption, “Couldn’t have it said it better myself!!! Count me in. Gonna take a little break. Much love everyone!” 

This is a positive step taken by the actor so that he can overcome his addiction to social and spend time with his loved ones. And, he has shared how his mother would be heartbroken when he would lose his honorary title.

And his mother was elated when her son was crowned the Sexiest Man Alive in 2022. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE magazine, the actor stated how his mother would be “so happy” and she would brag about it.

“My mom will be so happy. She’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can brag about.”

His mother Lisa Capuano shared,

“I am not surprised at all. Our family will be beside themselves.”

In a recent interview, Chris Evans shared that his mother continues to brag about the title, adding it would be a “sad day when I lose the title.” Hence, he is under immense pressure and he has to meet the expectations of his mother.

“She still does a lot of bragging. It’s going to be a sad day when I lose the title. Heavy lies the crown. It’s not easy.”

Hence proved that even though you are a super soldier, who has saved the planet and country from countless threats, he feels a massive weight on him to live up to his mother’s expectations.
