Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer reveals the plot
MCU’s trailer finally reveals the plot of the highly awaited Spider-Man: No Way Home. The fans have been waiting eagerly to get a glimpse of the much-awaited sequel. The story was a strictly guarded secret, barring a few leaks. Due to the multiverse, the leaks revealed the comeback of characters from the Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies. Finally, the trailer gave us a glimpse of what’s happening and what to expect in the third sequel of the Spider-Man starring Tom Holland.
The trailer also hinted at Sony Pictures’ plans for its Marvel Comics characters. Let us see what the trailer has revealed:
The Plot:
The movie picks up from Far From Home. At the end of this movie, we saw Peter’s identity and reputation compromised by Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal). So Peter seeks the help of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to protect his family and friends. He asks Doctor Strange to perform a spell that will make the world forget his true identity.
But he disturbs Strange while performing the magic. As a result, the magic does not have the desired outcome and alters the world around them. The arrival of some known villains indicates that they have got entangled in the multiverse.
Doctor Strange’s Winter Attire:
It’s chilly and snowy when Peter goes to see Doctor Strange in the Sanctum Sanctorum. The parka and overcoat resemble his iconic cloak that is a part of his superhero costume.
Spider-Man’s Costume:
There is a brief scene in the trailer where Peter is wearing the black suit from Spider-Man 3. So why does Holland’s Parker end up with Tobey’s Spider-Man? We can only hope we get to see Maguire’s incredible dance while we wait for more info.
Return Of The Green Goblin:
We can see Green Goblin’s pumpkin bombs on the freeway. This hints at the return of the Green Goblin. Dafoe has refused to comment whether he is a part of No Way Home. However, the trailer and the pumpkin bombs hint at his return to the movies.
Doc Ock in Spider-Man: No Way Home:
We see Alfred Molina (digitally de-aged) looking fabulous as Doc Ock, making a comeback from Raimi’s iconic Spider-Man 2. In an interview, Molina explained that his character is based in the same timeline when Doc Ock had died in Spider-Man 2.
Re-building The Sinister Six:
The Sinister Six is a group of Spider-Man villains who banded together to wreak havoc. In No Way Home, the group is coming together again. We have Doc Ock, and Green Goblin reinstated in the movie series. We also know that Electro (Jamie Foxx) is back from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (Andrew Garfield). So we have more than half of the squad assembled and ready when we add Vulture (Michael Keaton) to the mix!
Spider-Man: No Way Home explained:
The name of the film makes sense. Peter is in another universe, where he is not Spider-Man and is way over his head. The movie’s central plot (maybe) is Doctor Strange and Peter trying to find their way back home.
