Sonic Origins Plus

For many players this could be the first time they’ve been able to experience the Sonic games where they all started from way back when, and with new and improved visuals and a great value price, if you’re a fan of the little blue hedgehog you’d be silly not to. With the two versions available costing the same price, the question is whether or not the promise of a reversible coversheet and a 20-page artbook is enough to warrant going down the shops. If not, download it digitally now!

Sonic Origins Plus – Premium Physical Edition – £34.99/$39.99

  • Sonic Origins Base Game
  • Plus Expansion Pack
  • 20-Page Artbook
  • Reversible coversheet that pays homage to the classic 1900’s era of Sonic

Sonic Origins Plus – Digital Edition – £34.99/$39.99

  • Sonic Origins Base Game

Sonic Origins Plus – Plus Expansion Pack Only – £8.99/$9.99

  • Digital Upgrade to Sonic Origins Plus for current owners of Sonic Origins

Sonic has gone through a bit of a renaissance over the last couple of years, with the two aforementioned films being met with both commercial and critical success, staring Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik and Ben Schwartz as the titular character – never forget the power of the internet to change what was originally a horrendous design for Sonic into the perfect film design we have today -, and the recently released Sonic Frontiers.

Sonic Frontiers tried to adopt a new gameplay style and open the world of Sonic up, with a new story, characters and an immersive, if flawed world that allowed players to run in any direction, do anything and save the world in the process. Sonic Origins Plus may not be open world, and it may not have 3D visuals or fancy skill trees, but it is the classic and what started it all. Don’t miss out.

Sonic Origins Plus is now available both physically and digitally on PlayStation5, PlayStation4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch family of systems and PC via Steam and the Epic Game Store.
