Marvel Fans Choose Logan Over $714M Darkest MCU Movie in Viral Poll

When it comes to Marvel movies, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is regarded as one of the best. It is one of the most loved movies in the long-running franchise, as it has some of the most intense action scenes in the MCU. The fight scenes in the movie are not just mindless actions but are essential to the plot and character development which keep the audience engaged.

While The Winter Soldier delivered impressive fight scenes and grand action sequences, it also thrived in its subtle, relatable character interactions. These elements of the movie leave a long-lasting impact on the audience. Though The Winter Soldier is often lauded as the best MCU film, it still couldn’t beat Hugh Jackman’s Logan because it (Logan) did something that most movies like The Winter Soldier couldn’t do.

What Separates Logan from Captain America: The Winter Soldier?

Logan stands as one of the finest superhero films, thanks to the remarkable acting and an outstanding Oscar-nominated script. Directed by James Mangold, who co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Green and Scott Frank, Logan is a masterpiece for the portrayal of its beloved superhero’s journey.

In the movie, Wolverine has witnessed his loved ones’ demise for centuries, which led him to seek an end to his suffering. But finally, he finds relief by sacrificing himself to save Laura and guide her toward a better life.

Logan tracks the journey of a weary, exhausted Wolverine named James Howlett aka Logan (Hugh Jackman) whose main objective is looking after the ailing Charles Xavier. However, his life takes a turn when he encounters a young girl named Laura (Dafne Keen), who possesses strangely familiar mutant powers and requires help as they both become targets for the gun-toting army (the movie’s main villains).

Although Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Logan are both well-made movies, with incredible fight scenes, great characterization, and a good balance of humor and entertainment. But the reason why The Winter Soldier couldn’t surpass Logan is because Wolverine probably has the edge over Winter Soldier in terms of pure strength. And as we all know, be it a comic or movie, fans are rooting for Wolvie more than any other X-men.

Strangely, the sequel to one of Marvel Studios’ superhero origin stories is among the most celebrated as a standalone feature (and is now the best sequel of the now extensive catalog of films in MCU).

Captain America: The Winter Soldier frequently comes up in conversations when it comes to the best movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Yet, it’s not always questioned if it’s the all-time greatest superhero film – and the distinction is still unclear. However, it looks like the audience is the best to judge and make an opinion on this statement as they chose Logan over the MCU’s most often considered movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
