Who knew a pair of glasses would be Gwyneth Paltrow’s undoing?
March doesn’t seem to be going all too well for Paltrow. First, the ghosts from her past come to haunt her in the form of a 2016 hit-and-run ski case being taken to the civil court, and now she gets trolled for adopting a ‘Jeffrey Dahmer look’ on the very first day of her trial.
The actress and businesswoman showed up to the courtroom in a simple beige turtleneck and trousers for the commencement of her civil trial. But it looks like she inadvertently botched it by putting on the large, aviator-rimmed glasses which have now become the subject of appalling remarks about how Paltrow’s courtroom look is eerily similar to that of the cannibalistic serial killer from Milwaukee, Dahmer.
And the courtroom setting certainly doesn’t help her case much either. No pun intended.
Gwyneth Paltrow Gets Mocked for Her ‘Jeffrey Dahmer look’ During Trial
21 March marked the beginning of Gwyneth Paltrow‘s infamous trial regarding a ski accident that took place about seven years ago. But on the very first day of trying to resolve her legal dispute, things already seem to be taking a turn for the worse.
Sitting in a Utah courtroom on Tuesday for her case, the Goop founder’s aviator-style glasses sparked up a hilarious, albeit disconcerting, a string of reactions, pointing out the ‘Jeffrey Dahmer’ vibe that emanated from her look. Translation, she looked like a serial killer on trial. And Twitter is flooded with people trolling her for the same.
Relax, she probably just wanted to take some pictures.
How Gwyneth Paltrow Got Enmeshed in A Civil Lawsuit
Terry Sanderson, a retired optometrist, recently filed a lawsuit against Paltrow, 50, concerning a hit-and-run ski accident due to which the plaintiff was reportedly injured with severed ribs and brain trauma, as well as acute emotional distress which restricted him from “enjoying life.”
The incident occurred in February 2016 at Deer Valley Resort, in Utah, when the Sliding Doors actress, Sanderson claimed, crashed into him while skiing and left him “lying in the snow, seriously injured.” He is suing the award-winning actress for $300,000 concerning the same.
Paltrow in turn is countersuing Sanderson for a million dollars in damage plus additional charges for her attorney’s fees. The Iron Man star is maintaining that it was in fact, the 76-year-old who slammed into her and that his memory of the accident had apparently been muddled at the time.
Sanderson is set to testify on Friday and the Emma star too is expected to do so.
Paltrow is being represented by James Egan.
