Famous for pulling some of the most hilarious yet elaborate scare tactics, the celebrity host has now pranked dozens of celebrities and people. However, not everyone likes being scared, for instance, Sandra Bullock. Despite starring in the horror thriller Netflix’s Bird Box, the actress has time and again expressed how she is terrified of being scared.
“I don’t like to be scared. I hate being scared. I hate, hate people who think it’s funny to stand behind doors and scare you because they know that you hate being scared.”
Then she went along to relate how she considers DeGeneres for masterminding scraping pranks.
“Like Ellen DeGeneres. She does that. Horrible human being. I don’t know why I keep going on her show. She’s a horrible human being for that. No, she knows not to do it with me.”
Although The Thing Called Love actress meant it as a joke, her remarks clearly hint at how DeGeneres tends to make her guests uncomfortable on her now-off-air talk show.

After a tumultuous life and a shortfall from fame, Ellen DeGeneres’s talk show helped her reclaim huge stardom and accolades. The now-off-air talk show went on for nearly two decades, featuring multiple celebrities and people from all walks of life. However, soon in 2020, numerous staff members made claims about the extremely toxic environment and DeGeneres’s hypocritical nature.
Apart from these toxic work environment claims, watchers of the show have pointed out several instances when the host made her guests feel uncomfortable or put them in extremely tight positions. These coupled with the reports of the toxic environment and s*xual assaults on the sets finally led to the end of The Ellen DeGeneres Show in May 2022.
