Wednesday star Christina Ricci wrote a series of Instagram stories recently calling out people supporting perpetrators of crimes like r*pe and s*xual abuse. While she did not name anyone, her stories seemed to be directed at the celebrity couple, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. The duo had recently submitted some emotional letters supporting the convicted actor Danny Masterson.

The actress wrote (as per Deadline),

“Unfortunately I’ve known lots of ‘awesome guys’ who were lovely to me but have been proven to be abusers privately. I’ve also had personal experience with this. Believe victims. It’s not easy to come forward. It’s not easy to get a conviction.”

While Kunis and Kutcher have already apologized, Ricci’s Instagram stories are being applauded by fans, with one fan even tweeting,

“She supported Amber Heard last year too despite working with Johnny Depp and speaking positively of him in the past. She talks the talk and she walks the walk.”

However, her comments about being a fan of Amber Heard were shocking since she had known and acted alongside Johnny Depp since she was a child and had always spoken highly of him.

Christina Ricci became famous at the age of 10 when she starred as Wednesday in the 1991’s The Addams Family. She even reprised her role in the subsequent sequel and later returned as a different character in the recent Netflix remake Wednesday. However, her witty and gritty persona is still regarded as the most suitable with many declaring her as the best Wednesday Addams ever.

Recently named as the new honoree of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Ricci is known best now for her role in the Emmy-nominated series Yellowjackets. The actress is also outspoken against women’s rights and advocacy, after having gone through traumatic domestic abuse during her former marriage as well as through her childhood. It is because of her outspoken nature and acting prowess that fans love her so much.

The 1991 The Addams Family can be streamed on Netflix.
