“She knows she’s the real Queen of England”: James Bond Singer Adele Shows the Finger to King Charles, Refuses to Perform at His Coronation

With the coronation of England’s new king inching closer, it seems that King Charles III had some special guests on his list for the prestigious occasion, which included Adele and Ed Sheeran. However, King Charles was left disappointed after both singers refused his invitation.

Although Ed Sheeran provided a legitimate reason for not attending King Charles III’s coronation, however, on the flip side, Adele refused the King’s invitation without giving any proper reasoning. And her abrupt action has led many to believe it was a subtle diss at King Charles III.

King Charles III wanted Ed Sheeran and Adele to perform at his coronation

The coronation of King Charles III is going to take place on May 6. And it appears that he had wished for the arrival of the English giants, Adele and Ed Sheeran in his prestigious ceremony and expected them to perform at the following concert that will accompany the festive weekend. An Insider stated,

 “The King has suggested a number of people he would like to perform and Adele and Ed were on that list. He was very keen that they were part of the concert.”

But not long after his invitation, the King was left in utter disappointment after both musicians rejected the invitation, as they would be unavailable to perform at his ceremony.

Adele refuses to perform at King Charles III’s coronation without any explanation

The Team which was hired to sign up the talents for the prestigious ceremony reported that Ed Sheeran was already appointed for a concert in Texas, which is going to take place a day before the coronation. However, Adele hasn’t shared her reasons for not attending and performing at the coronation, and considering the James Bond singer has no public appearances after 25th March, many have assumed that it was just a subtle diss at the King,  A source stated,

“There is a team set up to get the talent signed up, so they approached the two of them, but got replies saying that they were unavailable, which was a massive disappointment. They are titans of the showbiz industry and are quintessentially British, but also known across the globe. It’s such a shame.”

Even though the reasons aren’t clear why Adele refused to perform at the coronation, fans speculate that it might just be her distaste for King Chares III. But despite the letdown, it appears that they are already looking at other options for the precious ceremony, and sources add that the Grammy winner Harry Styles is currently the favorite to perform at the ceremony.
