Chris Evans reveals he has shed around 15 pounds post-Captain America
Chris Evans discussed how his life has changed since putting up Captain America’s shield in Avengers: Endgame in an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment. The actor said it’s been “a literal weight off” since he last had to play Steve Rogers, saying he’s lost “like 15 pounds.”

Evans has openly mentioned getting in shape and gaining or losing weight. Evans had previously stated in an interview with Yahoo Movies that “[he] seems to be able to kind of shed and add [weight] pretty quick.”
“I’m lucky — or unlucky, however you want to look at it — that I can gain or lose weight relatively quickly,” Evans told Yahoo Movies at the Los Angeles press day for Gifted, where he was joined by his young costar. “I think it changes as I get older, but as of now I seem to be able to kind of shed and add pretty quick.”

The last time viewers witnessed the hero, he had just given up his shield to Anthony Mackie’s Captain America and returned all of the Infinity Stones. Not to mention the fact that Rogers had become a grandfather in the process. Thanks to the team’s experience with time travel, Avengers: Endgame offers a built-in technique to de-age the legendary hero back to his golden days. Evans should start mentally preparing himself to regain those pounds since it’s only a matter of time.
