While the wedding is an auspicious day for the bride and groom, the ones who come to attend the wedding enjoy no less than the couple. Among the various things that keep the guests hooked on a couple’s marriage is the wedding treat. Ryan Gosling once attended one such wedding where food was the main topic of discussion among the guests.
During an appearance on a talk show, Gosling reminisced about the day of his mother’s wedding when he was surrounded by some wonderful, older Italian ladies. The actor shared that those ladies continuously discussed the food, and, of course, he was a part of this entire ‘food conversation.’

Ryan Gosling is undoubtedly a heartthrob of Hollywood, and his charm isn’t limited to the film industry, as wherever he goes, he effortlessly captures hearts and lights up the room. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! the actor recalled his mother’s wedding day, where he was surrounded by some wonderful older Italian ladies.
However, surprisingly, those women were more interested in the wedding menu than in Gosling himself. Gosling revealed that since the groom is from Rome, the couple decided to tie the knot in Itlay. There Gosling got the chance to meet his step-father’s Italian relatives, who kept him entertained for the entire wedding.
The actor further shared that he didn’t get a job at the wedding, so he sat among the other guests and that’s when he encountered these very interesting ladies who were quite more interested in the wedding treat.
Ryan Gosling became a part of the food discussion at his mom’s wedding
Ryan Gosling is not just an incredible actor, but the way he narrates any incident makes him a great storyteller as well. During the same interview, Gosling shed light upon the conversation that he had with his stepfather’s relatives. The actor told the host that the women he met at the wedding constantly talked about the food. When Kimmel asked the actor “In what way?”, Gosling went into the character and hilariously explained the scenario in his best Italian accent. The actor said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! ,
“So at one point, this one woman said, ‘There’s a tortellini in the freezer.’ And later on, almost towards the vows, another woman said, ‘There’s a smoked mozzarella in the fridge.’ And then another woman went, ‘It’s from Naples.'”
Kimmel became really intrigued that despite having a great actor among them, people were more interested in the food. The host asked Gosling if he was spotted by any paparazzi or fans while he was at the wedding, to which Gosling denied.
