Rosario Dawson is all set to reprise her iconic role and the titular role in Disney+’s upcoming Ahsoka. While there had been many rumors about who will be joining the cast, quite a few were debunked early on. With the series having already created so much hype, getting rumors about other actors from the Star Wars franchise in the series was more excitement-inducing.
The series is set to be another addition to the franchise with The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and now Ahsoka. While the actress has been somewhat of a recurring character in the first two series, her finally getting a show for herself has been long-awaited. However, Dawson has finally spoken about the flying rumors regarding Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker.
Rosario Dawson Opens Up About Hayden Christensen Being Involved In Ahsoka
Rosario Dawson was already aware of the flying rumors regarding Hayden Christensen‘s return to the Star Wars franchise with Ahsoka. Although it had not been confirmed yet, even when the cast was being searched, his name would show up. However, these were confirmed early on as well. The actress had to come up later to apologize for the rumors.
“It’s just been really cool that at this moment, I’m joining it, and he’s been able to come back [in 2022’s Obi-Wan Kenobi] and also get embraced by the Star Wars family in a way that I think is much deserved. It’s definitely one of those things that would be super cool if he was [in Ahsoka], but I’m just really grateful that we’re in the same universe.”
For these rumors to still be going on, Dawson had to finally open up about whether or not Christensen is involved in the series. She noted that seeing him come back once certainly brought up everyone’s hopes including her. She added that it would be a really good chance. Cleverly, though, she did not confirm nor deny these rumors.
Could Rosario Dawson Be Hiding Hayden Christensen’s Return?
Hayden Christensen being a part of Ahsoka might not be accurate to the timeline and so many fans could interpret his return to be unlikely. However, there is a chance that the actress was hiding a possible cameo of the actor as either Darth Vader or simply Anakin Skywalker.
Dawson could only be dodging these rumors so as to not confirm anything until the series is actually out for the public to watch. The wait won’t be long but it would be enticing as nothing will be concrete unless fans see it for themselves.
Ahsoka will be available to watch on Disney+ from 23rd August 2023.
